Isn't fall grand!  It gives us just one final blast of fabulous colour before winter comes.  This fall held a number of day trips to take in the sights and sounds of autumn.  We visited the farmer's market in Old Strathcona where the rainbow collection of cauliflower and the jars of pickles caught my eye.  We drove some of the backroads to watch harvest in progress bringing back memories of driving grain truck for my Dad when I was a teen.  We walked the river valley parks to observe the changing leaves.  We visited some of the local gardens for the last of the season's flowers.   It's been a beautiful autumn and I'm sad that all those colourful leaves have now been stripped from the trees.  We've experienced the annual end to Daylight Savings Time and now we wait the next change - winter's snow.
