So the moral of the story is that if you wait too long in the summer to go the the Ellis Bird Farm near Lacombe, AB you might not see as many birds as you would if you had been there earlier in the season. However, all is not lost! The gardens are wonderful! I have been there much earlier in the summer and photographed all kinds of birds but by the end of August there weren't all that many around.
